Job Responsibilities
- Quantify materials and labour requirements from technical drawings and site visits.
- Prepare cost estimates for residential, commercial, and specialist construction projects.
- Obtain competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage tender documentation and create detailed BOQs and cost schedules.
- Collaborate with project teams to align commercial strategies and ensure accurate handovers.
- Support early-stage project delivery with ongoing commercial insight and analysis.
Candidate Requirements
- 2+ years of estimating experience in the construction sector, particularly listed or heritage projects
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and cost structures
- Confident with Excel and estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, Planswift, ConQuest)
- Able to interpret architectural/structural drawings and specifications
- Detail-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially aware and proactive in identifying value engineering opportunities.
